Bio for Roberto / Robert / Rob Meireles

Rob is all about the 00000 and 11111. Digital to the core, Rob is usually ahead of any online trend before it trends. He’s the kind of guy who’s already seen that YouTube link you emailed him weeks ago. Seen it, clicked it, done it. If it has a 3 w’s in front, Robert knows about it and has been there.

Always fascinated by technology and its amazing potential, Robert began his online career back in 1997 as a tech support rep. Looking for bigger challenges, Robert switched gears and found his true calling in design. He learned web design quickly, starting from basic HTML foundations and building his knowledge base to the current standards.

As an art director at Yupi Internet, the nation’s first Hispanic portal, he became a true pioneer in web development creating successful campaigns and digital identities for global brands like Microsoft, Sony Entertainment, Toyota, and others.

Shortly thereafter, he joined Young & Rubicam and continues to create award-winning work for clients such as AT&T, Hershey’s, Dell, and Caterpillar.

Robert has a minor in Art History and a BFA degree from New World School of the Arts [University of Florida] in Graphic Design. Being a self-taught web designer from the early days has given him a solid foundation to break the rules in the modern web 2.0 era. When he’s not online indulging in the magical world of the Internet, he spends time gaming. Online of course.
